The Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, was a guest on the news on TV Alsat M. He referred to online games of chance, which are organized, as he mentioned, by illegal organizers of games of chance, and unfortunately, young people are infected by this pandemic.
"Our citizens are infected by this pandemic, especially young people, especially teenagers who are under 18 years old and cannot participate in the games of chance that are organized publicly in the cities, that is, it is not legal for them to do so, so they find this online way, through these illegal organizers of games of chance.", Andonovski emphasized.
Andonovski emphasized that the problem is big, because citizens use their personal cards and share all information with unknown sites without any problem, and then it can easily be exploited.
"The essential problem here is that citizens credit and debit cards are used, which we do not know where are sent as data, name, surname and other information from the citizens ID card, we also do not know where they are sent", the Minister of Digital Transformation clarified.
He added that citizens, in relation to these online casinos, voluntarily provide this information, and then very often are deceived, that is, money is stolen from their cards.
"With the amendments to the Law on Electronic Communications, we will ban all illegal organizers of online games of chance in cooperation with AEK and citizens will not be able to access these sites", Andonovski is decisive.
Andonovski ultimately concluded that they plan in the future, if new illegal organizers of online games of chance are formed, to immediately remove them.
