In an interview for the TV programme "360 Degrees" on MRT1, Minister Andonovski explained, among other things, the functionality of the e-mailbox project:
"Three months before your ID card expires, we automatically send you a notification to your mailbox (and the information also arrives at your email address) that your ID card will expire soon and that you can renew it, schedule a renewal at the following link. In this way, we wanted to show how efficient this model is and for 300,000 citizens, this is already possible because they are users of the national portal," said Andonovski.
He added that, with the introduction of the "e-sandace", the state can directly communicate electronically with citizens about reminders, documents, warnings about the expiration of certain deadlines.
"E-sandace " means a state inbox and an electronic address of citizens in the digital world, and the idea is to utilise it for direct communication with citizens even when they have not requested a service. Currently, the project is in a testing phase, in which the system is successfully handling the automatic sending of information about the expiration of citizens' ID cards," said Andonovski.
The minister explained that the message sent to citizens contains a link which directs the user to the page where they can schedule an appointment for renewing their ID.
"The possibilities are unlimited and this is one of the obligations of the digital decade, as it means that the state directly communicates electronically with citizens. Where have the countries that earlier started this process gone? The delivery of documents should be carried out entirely electronically in this manner for those citizens who have the electronic box," added the minister.
Speaking about the "e-kiosk", he said that these should be understood as machines that will enable users to receive a service directly, without interacting with the state apparatus or without using the National Service Portal, that is, people who do not have the Internet, a printer or a computer at home, will be able to get the necessary service at any kiosk with a few clicks and pay immediately.
"We believed that this would be a new added value because in cities where we do not have service centres, or in places that have a high frequency of citizens, you can quickly use this service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You do not depend on working hours, nor on whether an employee can serve you, and we will also reduce the congestion that is created," concluded the Minister, Stefan Andonovski.
