"For a company, the time needed to obtain a document is not just an administrative issue, but a direct cost and a factor that affects its competitiveness. If the institution delayed their services, the company would delay as well. With the new electronic services, we simplify and accelerate procedures and create better conditions for companies that produce, export and drive the Macedonian economy," emphasized the Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski.
Minister Andonovski and the Director of the State Inspectorate for Agriculture, Ivica Angelovski, today promoted the Inspectorate's two new electronic services, which are now available through the National Service Portal - uslugi.gov.mk:
- "Quality Certificate - Certificate for Agricultural Products, Processing and Goods";
- "Quality Certificate B1 - Certificate for Wine Export".
The new services are intended for agricultural producers, processors, wineries and exporters. These are procedures related to the quality of agricultural products and wine exports, i.e. sectors that create domestic value, provide jobs and represent Macedonia on foreign markets.
By connecting the services to the National Portal, companies, in addition to paper form, will be able to receive certificates electronically, with the same legal validity. This simplifies the overall procedure, shortens the time required to obtain the documents, eliminates the need to personally collect them at the Inspectorate and reduces administrative and financial costs for companies.
The procedure for paying administrative fees has also been digitized. Instead of paying with paper payment slips, companies will be able to pay the fees electronically, through electronic banking applications.
“For us, digital transformation is not just the introduction of new technology. It is a change in the way the state functions and the relationship that institutions have with citizens and companies. We are developing the national portal uslugi.gov.mk as a single point through which public services will be available simply, securely and without unnecessary waste of time,” Andonovski emphasized.
The minister pointed out that digitalization also plays an important role in increasing transparency and reducing the risks of corruption. When procedures are digital, the rules are determined in advance and equal for everyone, direct contact is reduced where it is not needed, the space for subjective decision-making is limited and a clear electronic trail is created for the actions of institutions.
The Director of the State Inspectorate for Agriculture, Ivica Angelovski, presented the specific benefits, the manner of using the services and the procedure for electronically obtaining certificates. He emphasized that digitalization will provide faster, more efficient and higher quality services for the business community.
The new services are the result of the cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the State Inspectorate for Agriculture, with support from the German Society for International Cooperation – GIZ. Minister Andonovski expressed his gratitude to GIZ for recognizing and supporting the project for the digitization of new key services for companies.
In cooperation with the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, the new electronic services will also be presented to the business community. Companies will be presented with the method of their use and the specific benefits of the digitized procedures.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation continues with the accelerated digitization of services that have real and immediate significance for citizens and the economy, in order to make public services faster, simpler and more accessible, and institutions more efficient, more accountable and more transparent.
