The Computer Incident Response Team for the executive authorities – MKD-GOV-CSIRT, operating within the Ministry of Digital Transformation, will officially commence its operations on May 1, 2026. The team is established in accordance with the Law on Security of Network and Information Systems (“Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia” No. 135, dated July 4, 2025), with the aim of ensuring a coordinated, timely, and effective response to cybersecurity incidents and threats affecting government institutions.
MKD-GOV-CSIRT will enhance the security of networks and information systems through prevention, early detection, and coordinated response to cybersecurity incidents, as well as by supporting institutions in strengthening their cyber resilience. The team will play a central role in coordination, information sharing, and the development of a stable and secure national cybersecurity system.
