Andonovski: Investing in technology parks is an investment in ideas, talent and the future

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, addressed the opening of the first technology park in North Macedonia — N99 Deep Tech Park, a space that aims to connect technology, innovation, science, the startup community and institutions in a common ecosystem for development.

N99 Deep Tech Park is envisioned as a modern centre for fostering a new technological revolution, with a focus on artificial intelligence, deep tech, robotics, cybersecurity and the practical application of innovations. The park should be a place where students, researchers, entrepreneurs, companies and institutions will be able to collaborate, develop solutions and create technologies with domestic value and global potential.

In his address, Minister Andonovski emphasized that the opening of such environments is a significant step for the development of the Macedonian technological and innovation ecosystem.

“At a time when countries compete through knowledge, innovation and technological capacity, the creation of such spaces is much more than an investment in infrastructure. It is an investment in ideas, talent and the future. What particularly encourages me is that this initiative is driven by domestic vision and entrepreneurship,” said Minister Andonovski.

He highlighted that such initiatives are important for creating an environment in which technology companies can grow, startups can develop, and young and talented people will have the opportunity to realize their ideas at home.

The opening of the N99 Deep Tech Park is part of the broader strategic framework of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for building a modern, innovative and secure digital state. Such projects are in line with the priorities of the National ICT Strategy of the Ministry of Digital Transformation - SMART/MK, as well as with the Cybersecurity Strategy 2025–2028, which set the guidelines for the development of the digital economy, strengthening technological capacities, supporting innovation, and creating a secure digital environment.
