Andonovski: We will sign an agreement on the acceptance of electronic signatures between Macedonia and Montenegro

At today's promotion of the new electronic services for students from the State Statistical Office (SSO) available on the portal uslugi.gov.mk, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, informed that an agreement on the mutual acceptance of electronic signatures between Montenegro and Macedonia will be signed.

"We had two days of quality talks with the President of Montenegro. Something that we are already preparing, and I can also announce at the Cybersecurity Summit in Paris, is the signing of an agreement on the mutual acceptance of electronic signatures between Montenegro and Macedonia," said Andonovski, adding that this agreement will greatly facilitate business cooperation between companies from the two countries.

"This means that every electronic signature issued in Macedonia will be recognized as fully valid in Montenegro, and the same will apply vice versa - every electronic signature issued in Montenegro will be fully valid in Macedonia. We believe that in this way we will facilitate communication between the two countries and contribute to improving economic relations," the minister added.

Referring to today's topic, Minister Stefan Andonovski stressed that this step completely rounds out the package of services for higher education. The biggest benefit for users is the significant reduction in the time needed to fill out the documentation. Instead of the previous 10 minutes, the process now takes only one to two minutes, because the forms are already "pre-filled" with data that the system automatically takes from existing databases.
