Andonovski from the Strategic Dialogue with the USA: Deepening Cooperation in Cybersecurity and Digital Infrastructure

The Minister of Digital Transformation is part of the Government Delegation at the Strategic Dialogue between Macedonia and the United States of America in Washington. According to Andonovski, this represents a significant step in advancing bilateral cooperation, with a special focus on digital transformation and cybersecurity.

 

As part of the dialogue, Andonovski will lead the session focused on further strengthening the partnership in the area of ​​cybersecurity, through support for the development of institutional capacities, assessment and improvement of the protection of critical digital infrastructure, as well as further cooperation with trusted international partners.

 

According to information from the Strategic Dialogue, is anticipated in-depth expert and technical cooperation with relevant American institutions is envisaged, aimed at  improving national capabilities for prevention, detection and response to cyber threats, as well as support in the processes of strategic planning and modernization of security systems.

 

Andonovski stated that within the framework of the partnership, opportunities are being explored for support in the development of advanced cyber capabilities and strengthening the protection of key state systems, through training, equipment and exchange of expertise.

 

"This cooperation is in complete accordance with the strategic priorities of the Government and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, including the implementation of the National Cybersecurity Strategy 2025–2028, as well as the alignment with European standards and directives," Andonovski stated after the session.

 

The Ministry of Digital Transformation remains committed to building a secure, resilient and reliable digital infrastructure, as a prerequisite for efficient public services, protection of institutions and strengthening the trust of citizens.

 

"The strategic partnership with the United States of America represents an important pillar in advancing national digital and cyber resilience and strong support for reform processes in this area," Andonovski concluded.
