Digital transformation and artificial intelligence were the focus of Minister Stefan Andonovski's address at the event "Youth Empowered Pivara Skopje Youth Academy", a free educational platform aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of young people.
Minister Andonovski referred to the continuous and strong efforts for digital transformation, in order to provide young people with seamless access to modern technology.
,,As a Government, we provided all undergraduate students from state and private universities with a voucher for an IT device worth 15,300 denars; With over 90 million denars, we supported UKIM through FINKI as the project leader of 'Vezilka', the centre for artificial intelligence in the Macedonian language, which is in the final phase of signing an agreement with the EU; We digitized the package of services from the State Statistical Office, allowing students to complete the paper documents they fill out each semester electronically through the National Service Portal," noted Andonovski.
The minister also highlighted the activities aimed at reducing the digital divide, by providing Wi-Fi points throughout the faculties, so that all students now have the opportunity for free access to the internet.
