The Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, leads the government delegation in Smilevo, which includes Deputy Minister of Finance Nikolce Jankuloski and Deputy Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ane Lashkoska, where they laid fresh flowers at several locations in Smilevo in honour of the great holiday 2 August – Republic Day – Ilinden.
Minister Stefan Andonovski also addressed the traditional Ilinden celebration in the "Dame Gruev" park.
“Today we are here, in Smilevo – the place where the past is a living organism. A place where every stone speaks, and every inch of the earth testifies to the struggle, vision and sacrifice of those who paved the way for Macedonian statehood 122 years ago. The Smilevo Congress and the Ilinden Uprising did not arise in a time of prosperity, but in a time of repression, poverty and divisions. And that is precisely why the courage of the Ilinden people is even greater. They did not wait for ideal conditions – they created the conditions through action, through organization, through solidarity.” Minister Andonovski said in his address.
