Andonovski: With free Wi-Fi zones and electronic devices, we are overcoming the digital divide among students

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, today paid a working visit to the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, where together with the Dean, Prof. Dr. Oliver Bakreski, confirmed the successful collaboration so far by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation and presented the new free internet zone intended for students.

"I can announce that this is the first such zone that the Ministry of Digital Transformation provides from its own funds. We will also foresee such zones in student dormitories where there is a need, as well as at other faculties and universities. We are focusing mostly on the areas where the most students and professors are present," stated Andonovski.

The Minister commented the project for vouchers for electronic devices for students, stating that these two initiatives facilitate overcoming the digital divide that exists among students.

During the visit, the Minister also addressed the students, emphasizing that the state and the Government believe in their abilities and provide them with unwavering support. He encouraged the students to seize every opportunity, to learn, to progress, and to mature, as "they are the future that must lead Macedonia forward."
