Andonovski: In October, promotion of m.Uslugi, ID card and driver's license on mobile phone
The Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, officially announced, yesterday during his appearance on the "Vesti plus" program on TV Kanal 5 that the new mobile application m.Uslugi will be promoted in October.
"I can officially announce that in October we will organize an event where we will promote the mobile application m.Uslugi. It will feature electronic versions of the personal identification card and driver's license, as well as two electronic services for citizens," emphasized Andonovski.
Through m.Uslugi, citizens will be able to access personal documents in digital form as well as electronic services of the administration in one place. The goal is to make state services more accessible and easier to use, directly via mobile phone.
The Minister pointed out that in the past period, intensive work has been done on issues related to cybersecurity, protection and the method of storing personal data, as well as their exchange with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which owns the data.
"We are in the final phase of harmonizing and signing the data exchange protocol, as well as testing the application. We want to be sure that the system is stable, secure and easy to use before it is available to everyone. The application will be available on the App Store and Google Play, and its test version has so far been downloaded by around 6,000 citizens," said Andonovski.
The next step in the digital transformation is for the mobile phone to gradually become a digital wallet over which citizens will safely and simply access their documents and state services.
