Minister Andonovski Addresses OSCE Interparliamentary Forum in Ohrid

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, addressed the first session of the Fifth Inter-Parliamentary Forum of Delegations from Southeast Europe at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which is being held in Ohrid.

In his address, Minister Andonovski emphasized that cybersecurity represents a strategic priority of the highest national and regional interest. He noted that modern cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated and intense, which imposes the need for a coordinated and systemic approach to dealing with them, based on partnership, trust and information exchange between countries in the region.

The Minister pointed out that Macedonia is actively working to improve its institutional capacities, align with European standards and strengthen digital resilience. This ensures a secure and stable digital ecosystem for citizens, companies and public institutions, as well as effective protection of critical infrastructure from cyber threats.

Additionally, the Minister stressed the importance of continued regional cooperation and exchange of experiences among institutions from Southeast Europe, with the aim of strengthening the response to cyber-attacks and reduce their impact on the economy and democratic processes.

Minister Andonovski's speech was part of the discussions on the topic "Cyber-attacks in Southeast Europe and the damage caused in recent years", which examined ways to prevent cyber-attacks, protect institutions, and strengthen regional cooperation. The forum serves as a platform for dialogue among decision-makers, experts, and parliamentarians, aimed at enhancing cyber security policies and increasing digital resilience across the region.
