Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, held a working meeting with the director and representatives of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMS) and with representatives of influencers and digital content creators, with the aim of opening a dialogue regarding the situation on regulation of working in this sector, and in relation to the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the Ministry is closely monitoring the reactions and positions of digital creators and that the policy-making process in this area will be conducted through transparent consultations with all stakeholders. The goal is to provide modern and balanced regulation that will support the development of the digital economy and creative industries, while fully respecting EU regulation on this matter.
The participants agreed that an open and inclusive process is necessary in which influencers, institutions and the regulator will work together to improve regulation and establishing a clear legal framework for digital content. In the coming period, consultations will continue to review the proposals and remarks from content creator associations and other interested parties.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation remains committed to creating a digital ecosystem that encourages innovation, responsibility and trust in the online space.
