Andonovski: I urge young people to register on the uslugi.gov.mk portal to apply for a voucher

Yesterday, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski was a guest in program "Vesti Plus" on Kanal 5 TV, where he spoke about the new measure of the government - vouchers for electronic devices for students.

"I take this opportunity to urge young people to register on the national portal uslugi.gov.mk, the application for the vouchers has not yet started, but they should create their profiles so they can then easily apply for a voucher, from home," emphasized Andonovski.

Andonovski explained that this measure was announced by the Prime Minister 10 months ago, but last year it was too late to be foreseen in the budget. This year, following the preparations made by the Government, the funds are allocated in the budget, and implementation will begin immediately.

"Over 50 million euros will be allocated for vouchers for electronic devices for students, this is digitalization in practice because we cannot only digitize services, but we also need to provide tools to young people and raise digital literacy," added the Minister.

During his appearance, the Minister emphasized that the government is implementing a series of measures and projects in which the focus is on youth, highlighting the openness of institutions towards young people.

"So far, there has not been a single measure of this kind for young people. At the same time, the Government is hiring young interns in healthcare, engaging young people in defense, and a new group of young people has joined our ministry. In this way, we are opening up institutions that are key for citizens to young people. In my area, we are providing free internet zones, focusing on student dormitories, and we are starting this project from Bitola," finished Minister Andonovski.
