Andonovski: Over 40 institutions are utilising the national Document Management System (DMS) – digital transformation brings less paper, less waiting and less room for corruption

Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski, in today's statement to the media, emphasized that more than 40 institutions are using the national Document Management System (DMS), as part of the process of digitization of institutions and municipalities and improving the quality of public services for citizens.

"Connecting institutions and municipalities means faster, simpler and more accessible services for citizens. This is a fundamental reform in the way the state functions," Andonovski emphasized.

According to the data published by the minister, the number of institutions using an electronic archive and an electronic document management system has doubled in just four months. At the same time, 2.6 million transactions were carried out through the state interoperability platform in November, which, as he pointed out, represents a significant increase compared to the average in 2024.

The Minister also informed that the number of institutions and companies connected to the interoperability platform has increased by 20%, which directly affects the reduction of administrative barriers and the need for citizens to submit documents "from counter to counter".

"These numbers mean less paper, less waiting and less room for corruption. We do not view the digital transformation as an IT project, but as a reform aimed at citizens - with clear, traceable and fair procedures", said Andonovski, adding that the obligation of the system is to serve the citizen quickly, understandably and equally for all.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation remains committed to the principle of "citizens first" becoming the standard for the functioning of the state, through concrete and measurable results.
