Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, as part of the Macedonian delegation, participated in the Strategic Dialogue with the US, which was held yesterday at the State Department in Washington.
Andonovski stressed that collaboration with the United States of America in the field of digital transformation is crucial and of particularly great importance.
"I am pleased that our strategic partner, the USA, has recognized digital transformation and cybersecurity as one of the key components of our cooperation. We are already collaborating, considering that within the Ministry of Digital Transformation we have an expert from the USA, who is responsible for promoting our mutual cooperation," Andonovski said in a statement to TV Sitel.
The minister also announced a memorandum that will further advance this cooperation with the USA in the field of cybersecurity, through the support of government institutions.
"Besides negotiating a comprehensive memorandum of cooperation between the two countries in these two areas, I can say that support for government institutions will continue, primarily in the construction of the government cyber incident response center, its equipment with hardware and software, but also in the protection of all critical systems," Andonovski concluded.
