Minister Andonovski meets with Croatian Minister of Justice and Digitalization Habijan: partnership in digital transformation

As part of his working visit to Zagreb, Croatia, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, held a meeting with the Minister of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia, Damir Habijan, where discussions focused on advancing cooperation in the field of digital transformation, modernization of public services and strengthening of digital infrastructure.

At the meeting, experiences were exchanged on the development of digital services for citizens, with a particular focus on mobile applications and platforms through which citizens can more easily access the services of institutions.

It was emphasized that strong infrastructure, interoperability between institutions and secure data exchange are key to efficient digital transformation of the public sector.

A special emphasis was placed on Croatian experiences in the digitization of archival work, e-archives and document management systems — DMS. Minister Andonovski stressed that such experiences are particularly important for the processes that the Ministry of Digital Transformation is implementing towards establishing a more efficient, transparent, and digitally supported public administration. "Croatia's rich experience in the digitalization of processes in public administration and the judiciary is of exceptional importance for the Macedonian process of digital transformation."

The meeting also discussed the possibility of organizing training and exchange of experts between the two countries, especially in the field of archival work and electronic document management. Additionally, the opportunity for joint cooperation through twinning projects and European mechanisms for supporting digital transformation was also opened.

Minister Andonovski highlighted the Republic of Croatia as a good example of digitalization of the public sector and emphasized that cooperation with the countries of the region and the European Union is of particular importance for accelerating reform processes in Macedonia.

"Digital transformation is the foundation for better, faster and more accessible services for citizens. The Croatian experience in the field of e-archives, data centres and digital services represents a significant example from which we can reflect and develop concrete cooperation," emphasised Minister Andonovski.

The two ministers expressed their readiness to continue communication and initiate concrete activities to deepen bilateral cooperation in the field of digital transformation.

The bilateral meeting of the ministers is part of Andonovski's visit to Croatia and participation in the IDU Forum. As a member of the IDU Executive Board, Andonovski will also participate in the session of the Executive Board tomorrow.
